Mr. William “Billy” Rogers, 82, of Worth County, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022, while surrounded by his beloved family. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2022, at Floral Memory Gardens, in Albany. Rev. Jan Masters will officiate, and the family will receive friends following the service. Born July 4, 1939, in Poulan, GA, Billy was the son of the late Julius and Laura Anna Dent Rogers. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and spent his life loving and providing for his family. He enjoyed working on cars, racecars, lawnmowers and shooting pool. He retired from Miller Brewing Company of Albany and was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his siblings, Michael Rogers, Ronald Rogers, and Sara Rogers Camp. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Christa Beverly Rogers of Worth County; children, Stacey Smith of Albany, Sherry Land and her husband, Dr. Charles Land of Sylvester, William A. “Doodle” Rogers, Jr. and Nellina of Sylvester, and Danyelle Hughes of Sycamore; siblings, Helen Holt and J.C. of Ocala, FL, Gary Rogers and Darla of Gladstone, MO, Mary Anne West of Sylvester, and Jan Harris of Leesburg; 7 grandchildren, Dustin, Beverly, Allen, Blake, Chelsea, Cameron, and Allyssa; and 12 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Beulah United Methodist Church 900 South County Line Road, Albany, GA 31705.
