Mrs. Wanda Kay Douglas Bridges, 67, of Albany, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Willson Hospice House.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Hall & Hall Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Following the visitation a graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., in the Poulan City Cemetery with Rev. Mike Trull and Rev. Timothy Matthews officiating.
Born June 29, 1958, in Sylvester, Wanda was the daughter of the late Grover and Emma Posey Douglas. She worked at Flint River Textile for several years, enjoyed going to the beach, fishing, and sitting on her porch listening to her music. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was Baptist by faith and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Blannon Bridges; siblings, Jane Douglas and Herschell Douglas; and her granddaughters, Jessica and Beverly Bridges.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Earl Eugene Bridges and Glenda of Albany, and James Earl Bridges of Albany; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, June Groover of Jamesville, NC, Judy Hunt and Melvin of Albany, J.R. Osborne of Poulan, Martha Ann Handley and Tony of Fitzgerald, and Michele Sullivan and Jimmy of Sylvester; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
