Ms. Shirley Jean Apaka, 64, of Putney, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, at her home. Services honoring her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2022, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Harrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Kimball United Methodist Church Cemetery, in Worth County. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Born February 16, 1958, in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Elton E. Selph and Erma Jean Jarrell. Shirley worked for many years as a talented hairdresser. She will be greatly missed by all. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Dewayne Jarrell and brother, Larry Selph. Survivors include her two children, Brittany Carroll (David) and Trey Apaka (Cally) both of Leesburg; grandchildren, Cohen, Aleia, Ken, and Emmalani; three brothers, Ricky Jarrell of Worth County, Wayne Selph (Lora) of Albany, and Stacy Jarrell (Regina) of Doerun; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
