Shirley Ann Hembree

Mrs. Shirley Ann Hembree, 76, of Albany, peacefully passed away on Friday morning, November 21, 2025, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 24, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church in Worth County. The family will visit with friends one hour prior. Pastor Dan Story and Rev. Danny Smith will officiate with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Born on February 25, 1949, in Cordele, Mrs. Hembree was the daughter of the late Jasper A. Lovett and Evelyn Fletcher Lovett. She was a loving and caring homemaker who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed cooking and traveling in their RV. She adored children and was often found throughout the years ministering to them at church including Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church of Worth County and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 61 years, Charles Owen Hembree; children, Chuck Hembree and Susan of Sumner, and Scott Hembree and Heather of Demorest; sister, Sherry Silvi and Pete of Baconton; 7 grandchildren, Chase Hembree and Joann, Matt Hembree, Zach Hembree and Madeline, Jessica Turk and Trevor, Katie Hembree and Jack, Charleston Hembree and Kaitlyn, Carlana Sumner and Corey; four great-grandchildren and one on the way.
