Sandra Lavonia Seawright

Ms. Sandra Lavonia Seawright, 82, of Sylvester, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at her home.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Crown Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends following the service.

Born on September 11, 1943, in Juliette, GA, Sandra was the daughter of the late Horace Jackson and Ella Mae Wright Jackson. She was a caring and devoted childcare provider for many years and loved children. She retired from Coats and Clark and spent her retirement years gardening, baking but mostly loving on her grandbabies. She was Baptist by faith and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Herman Ray Bridges and several siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Jodie Dorminey and Johnny, and Judy Odom and Jamey all of Sylvester; sister, Teresa Cannon of Baconton; brother, Jimmy Jackson and Wonda of Virginia; 4 grandchildren, Melissa Kehoe and John, Chris Odom, Sandra Maxwell and Vontell, and Bryce Odom; 5 great-grandchildren, Ethan Poteet, Heaven Turner, Aurora “Rori” Odom, Aubree Kehoe, and Levee Odom; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
