Reverend Jimmy Everett Palmer, 80, of Albany went home to be with Jesus in the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2025, in the chapel of Hall & Hall Funeral Home with visitation and viewing one hour prior to the service. Rev. Randolph Pate, Rev. Dennis Noble and Rev. Ken Savage will officiate with interment to follow in the Riverside Cemetery.
Born on July 20, 1945, in Colquitt County, Rev. Palmer was the son of the late Willie D. Palmer and Jimmie Hampton Palmer. He worked for many years as a small engine mechanic and was known as a hard-working man who provided well for his family. He greatly enjoyed preaching the gospel, singing, playing the piano, and leading music in different Pentecostal churches throughout the years. His greatest love in life was the Lord Jesus and his beloved family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Loraine Alday Palmer; children, Marie Carter and Robbie of Lake Park, Terry Palmer and Lisa of Waynesboro, Chad Palmer and Sabrina of Lakeland, Tony Jenkins and Sharon of Bainbridge, Derinda Daniel and Danny of Sylvester, and Belinda Jenkins and Tonto of Albany; brother, Danny Palmer and Kathy of Blackshear, Fonda Hooper and Bob of Sylvester, and Alicia Boatright of Douglas; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
