Mary Jo Whaley Banks

Mrs. Mary Jo Whaley Banks, 67, of Albany, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, at her home.

Visitation and viewing will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hall & Hall Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Riverside Cemetery.

Born on November 20, 1958, in Milton, FL, Mrs. Banks was the daughter of the late Joseph Whaley and Mary Francis Kembro Wishum. She was a 1977 graduate of Dougherty County High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed hunting, gardening, and camping, but most of all enjoyed time spent with her family. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Albany Congregation.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Banks was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Banks; her brother, William E. Whaley and half-sister, Linda Darlene Parm.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Charles “Sonny” Whaley of Albany, half siblings, several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
