Mrs. Lorraine Davidson Love beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the age of 84 under hospice care. Her unwavering love, quiet strength and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her.
Born on October 27, 1940, in Clay County, Kentucky, Lorraine lived a life rooted in compassion, grace, and devotion to the Lord. She was a caregiver to many family members over the years.
She loved tending to her yard and flowers, fishing and just sitting on the porch, watching birds and enjoying the outdoors. She loved her family dearly.
She retired from Kmart corporation and Walmart Corporation with 40 years of service between the two companies. She served the women of the Moose in the local Albany Chapter. She loved the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church of Acree.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Lester Love, her parents, Carlo and Pearlee Davidson, brother’s and sisters-in-law, Mike and Shelby Davidson, Herbert and Imojean Davidson, Duane and Dorthy Davidson, Robert Davidson, and Pauline and Johnnie Shroyer.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Sharon Lott and Jerry of Albany, and Dawn Love of Michigan; grandsons, Justin Lott and Caitlyn Russell of Augusta, GA, Bert Jason Partain and Carrie of Alabama, David Partain and Sarah of Washington State; 4 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Carol Ann Butts of Albany, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in the chapel of Hall & Hall Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Gary Hadden will officiate with interment to follow in Floral Memory Gardens.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Cleo Huett and Hospice.
