Mrs. Laura Moore McDonald, 95, of Doerun, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from her home.
Born on April 11, 1928, in Worth County, Mrs. McDonald was the daughter of the late Miles A. Moore and Addie Mae Tanner Moore. She retired after 37 years from Coats and Clark as a machine operator. She loved Jesus and her family most of all. She delighted herself in making her “famous” German chocolate cake for her pastor and his family and cakes of all sorts for others. She loved to cook, bake, and loved her church family at Lighthouse Ministries. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be greatly missed until we meet again in Heaven.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynda Dean Bass; and 4 brothers.
Survivors include her son, Charles Hall of Albany; daughters, Ruth Carter of Newton, AL, and Faye West of Albany; sister, Eula Rupert of Albany; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2023, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home with her pastor Rev. Chris E. Turner officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour before the service. Following the service entombment will follow at Crown Hill Mausoleum.
