Kelsey McCarty

Kelsey Paige McCarty 33, of Albany, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. 

A memorial service honoring her life will be scheduled at a later date.

Kelsey was born in Albany to the late Robert L. Branham and Virginia Gail Branham Melton on September 21, 1991. She was a very loving person who had a big heart and cared about everyone she met. Her huge infectious smile would light up the room, and her sense of humor welcomed everyone. Kelsey loved shopping at thrift stores and greatly enjoyed all things “vintage”. She will be greatly missed by her family whom she loved dearly.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, David McCarty; mother, Gail Melton and husband Lonnie; children, David Austin McCarty, Paislee Alyssa McCarty, and Jordyn Reese McCarty; sister in law, Brianna McCarty; brother, Kyle Branham; her aunt, Amber Turner; uncles, Roy Bowers, Ronald Lee Bowers, and Shawn (Rebecca) Branham; niece Elizabeth Rose Branham; and a host of extended family members and friends.
