Kayla Marie Bennett Slater, 42, of Worth County, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at her home while surrounded by her beloved family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2025, in the chapel of Hall & Hall Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Father Raymond Levreault is officiating, and interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
Born on June 16, 1983, in Albany, Kayla was a talented floral designer who worked for Bloomers Floral Design in Sylvester. She loved going to the beach and working with crafts. She was a sweet and caring soul who loved everyone. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. Kayla was a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church of Albany. A loving daughter, mother, sister, and aunt will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, MaHaylah Slater of Worth County; her parents, David and Tammie Smith Bennett of Worth County; her two sisters, Tiffany Bennett and Wade of Sylvester, and Ashlie Gantt and Brad of Sylvester; her significant other and former husband, Richard Slater of Worth County; 2 nephews, Drew Bennett and Gracie and Joey Bennet;t and 3 nieces, AdaLynn Gantt, Rubyanne Gantt, and RaeLynn Justice.
The family will be at 316 Deer Valley Dr. Albany, GA 31705.
