John Odom

Mr. John Wesley Odom, 71, of Baxley, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024.

According to his wishes, there will be no formal services.

Born December 31, 1952, he was the son of the late John Odom and Virginia Brown Odom. He worked for Akzo Chemical company where he retired after many years. In his free time, he loved to fish and ride his buggy and he enjoyed going to the sandbar at the river. He was always joking around and making others laugh. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mandi Odom, and his brother, Tal Odom.

Those left to cherish his memory include his three children, John Odom (Sheila) of Sylvester, Kevin Odom of Albany, and Lisa Driggers (Chad) of Baxley; 17 grandchildren; sister, Fay Crosby of Cedar Crossing; and a host of extended family and friends.
