Mrs. Irma Jean White, 86, of Albany, passed away, Sunday, March 27, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016 on her birthday at First Baptist Church of Putney. Rev. Mark Spraggins and Rev. Tab Howell will officiate with entombment to follow at Crown Hill Mausoleum. Born March 30, 1929 in Huntsville, AL, Mrs. White was the daughter of the late Luther and Elizabeth Baker Hale. She retired from the Dougherty County School System where she worked for many years in the lunch room at Morningside Elementary and Radium Springs Middle Schools. She was a loving and kind lady that always put her God and family first. She enjoyed sewing and was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Putney. Survivors include her husband, Marvin White; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Debbie White of Clermont, FL; daughters and sons-in-laws, Polly and Jerry Bragg of Hartwell and Patricia and Crack Bennett of Cordele; grandchildren, Lynn and Matt Ward, Jason and Olga White, Crystal White, Jeria and John Gibson, Paul and Stacey Bragg, Alyssa and Ryan Myers and Andrew and Connie Donaldson and 16 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Putney at PO BOX 336 Putney, GA. 31782.
