Frenchie Jean Collier

Mrs. Frenchie Jean Collier, 92, of Albany, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

Funeral services honoring her life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Following the services, she will be laid to rest in the Ellaville City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. in Ellaville, GA.

Born December 4, 1932, in Ideal, GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Eva Brooks. She worked for many years as the manager of KFC until her retirement. Mrs. Collier was a faithful member of Sunnyside Baptist Church where she attended and served in different capacities over the years. She loved socializing and enjoyed going on trips with her church family. In her free time, she loved to read, sew, craft, and especially enjoyed going camping and fishing. Mrs. Collier was the last of 8 siblings to live and cherished time spent with her family before their passing. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lumus Grady Collier, and her 7 brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Gyn Collier and his wife Robbie, and Cathy Thurmond and her husband Tommy all of Sylvester; her three granddaughters, Casey Hamby and Marc, Hannah Brown and Christian, and Megan Mabry; 5 great grandchildren, Ryder Mabry, James Brown, Layton Brown, Maverick Brown, and soon to be born Sage Brown; and a host of extended family members and friends that loved her dearly.

Hall and Hall Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Collier family.
