Elsie Meredith Rice

Mrs. Elsie Meredith Rice, 85, of Albany, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at her home.

Born on January 29, 1938, in Annetta, KY, Mrs. Rice was the daughter of the late Esker and Ollie Meredith. She was a loving homemaker who loved all of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Rice, son, David Armstrong and two siblings.

Survivors include her children, Carol Elliott (Chauncey), Robin Armstong, Starr Benton, and Jackie Armstrong (Laura); daughter-in-law, Linda; sisters, Jenny West (Jim) and Bessie West (Glen); and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
