Divinity Desiree Jones

Miss Divinity Desir’ee Jones, 16, of Albany, went home to be with Jesus, on Sunday, February 28, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Terry Siniard will officiate. Born September 23, 1999 in Albany, Divinity was a sweet, loving, intelligent young lady who had compassion for others. She was very active in playing sports at Dougherty County High School and enjoyed going to church. For four years she attended Pine Bluff Baptist Church where she loved going to Sunday school and Youth Camp. She always took others with her to church and wanted them to also know Jesus. She had also attended Sunnyside Baptist Church and Abundant Life throughout the years. Divinity was preceded in death by her brother, Fredrick Garcia; maternal grandmother, Carol Garcia and paternal grandfather, Walter Jones. Survivors include her father and mother, Carl and Marquita Garcia Jones of Albany; brothers, Antonio Garcia, Cornelius Garcia and Martin Nash; sisters, Alexis Garcia, Destiny Jones, Danielle Jones, Lanise Wilson and Alma Wilson; nephews and nieces, Cornelius, Jr., Carmen Mariah and Jaziah; paternal grandparents, Dorothy Jones and George of Albany; God mother, Kathy Wilson; aunts and uncles, Valencia (Darrin) West, Dorothy (Eemmtt) Miller, Walter (Joyce) Jones and Robert (Heather) Cotton; cousins, Darius, Damian, Diamond, DeJuan and Darrin, Jr. and Jerrica and host of other cousins.
