Mr. Charles Carroll Reddell, 87, of Sumner and Georgetown, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 10, 2026, in the chapel of Hall & Hall Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Bass officiating. A visitation and viewing will be held one hour before the service.
Born on January 29, 1939, in Bessemer, AL, Charles was the son of the late David Jackson Reddell and Annie Carroll Morgan. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and after his time in the service he worked for a couple insurance companies. He then worked as assistant manager of Western Auto in Bainbridge and served as store manager in Dublin and then Albany. He retired from Procter & Gamble Paper Products after 25 years. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He always enjoyed a good bargain and could often be found at thrift stores and antique stores. Most important to him was his beloved family and his dog, Smokey. He was Baptist by faith and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sue Lenning Reddell and his brother, David Reddell.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Charles Cal Reddell and Bobbie of Mt. Airy, NC, Darren Chon Reddell of Toms River, NJ, and Christon Demel Reddell and Tabatha of Sumner; siblings, James Reddell, Doris Goodwin, and Joan Dabbs; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and his companion, Sue Phillips of Albany.
