Carrie Leighanna Sims

Carrie L. Sims of Albany, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. A memorial service honoring her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service.

Carrie was born in Americus, GA on August 7, 2005, to Suzanne Satterfield. She was employed by Tyson Foods. Carrie loved music and singing and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was extremely generous to all and very protective of her loved ones. Carrie was known to speak whatever was on her mind. She dearly loved her son, Jasiah McCray. Carrie will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister and friend.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Suzanne Satterfield Sims; her son, Jasiah; her sisters, Michaela Wright, Mieckenzie Sims, Sarah Sims, and Savannah Martinez all of Albany; her brothers, Justin Lawless of TN, and Jacinto Escobar of Mexico; her brother-in-law, Sergio Beltran of Albany; her niece, Sofia Beltran of Albany; her nephew, Nakoa Pitman of Albany; her aunt, Melissa Satterfield; and a host of extended family members and friends that loved her dearly.

Hall and Hall Funeral Home has been given the honor to serve Carrie’s family.
