Walter Kenneth Johnson

Mr. Walter Kenneth Johnson, 74, of Baconton, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends following the service.

Born March 27, 1949, in Dooly County, Mr. Johnson was the son of the late Kenneth and Odessa Anderson Johnson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a self-employed contractor and known as a hard-working man. He enjoyed fishing, old Mustang cars and tractors. He was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his daughter, Tamara Johnson; brothers, James Johnson, Gerald Johnson, and Billy Johnson; and his sister, Carol Johnson Griffin.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Steven Johnson of Cocoa, FL; grandson, Jase Johnson of Cocoa, FL; companion, Sheila Burnham; siblings, Shirley Murphy and Buddy, Barbara Eason, Faye Farmer, Cathy Raby and Phillip, and Clyde Johnson and Denise; sister-in-law, Kay Johnson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
