Vincent Stephen Basko

Mr. Vincent Stephen Basko, 73, of Albany, peacefully passed away on June 2, 2020, at Willson Hospice House. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Floral Memory Gardens. On Thursday, June 4, 2020, Mr. Basko will lie in state at Hall & Hall Funeral Home from 9:00am – 5:00pm allowing friends and family to stop in and pay their respects. Born December 31, 1946, in Thomasville, Mr. Basko was the son of the late Stephen and Carolyn Basko. He proudly served our country in the United States Army and later went to work for the Marine Corps Logistics Base at the commissary where he retired after 32 years. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and picture painting. He also loved spending time with his beloved poodle, Ginger. Mr. Basko was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Mary Basko of Albany; two sons, Vincent S. Basko Jr. and his wife Mandy of Leesburg, Christopher J. Basko and his wife Missy of Albany; step-son, Steven Lothridge of Knoxville, TN; mother-in-law, Mary Lee of Albany; siblings, Donny Basko, Eddie Basko, Mickey Basko all of Albany, Ricky Basko of Lagrange, Connie Vantassel of CA, and Mary Tatum of WV; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
