Terry Joe Allen

Mr. Terry Joe Allen, 70, of Albany, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2023, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Pastor Glen Robinson will officiate with interment to follow in The Union Church Cemetery, in Worth County. The family will visit with friends one hour before the funeral.

Born October 8, 1952, in Moultrie, Terry was the son of the late Melvin and Nellie Ruth Coleman Allen. He worked for Winnelson Supply in Albany for many years and owned and operated City Shoe Repair of Albany. At the time of his passing, he was employed with SIC. Mr. Allen enjoyed singing, playing guitar, and the mandolin. He was a faithful member of Heritage Baptist Church. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed cutting up with everyone. More than anything he loved God and adored his beloved family. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle he will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife, Carol Rowe Allen; daughters, Holly Gurr and Chris of Brunswick, and Traci Erickson and Marty of Leesburg; grandchildren, Hunter, Skylar, Trenton, Dalton, and Lilly; and brothers, Dwain Allen and Pat of Arkansas, Ray Allen of Leesburg, and Royce Allen and Sue of Albany; and several nieces, and nephews.

Hall and Hall Funeral Home has been given the honor to serve the Allen family.
