Larry Thomas Bass

Mr. Larry Thomas Bass, 74, of Albany, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at Willson Hospice House. A visitation will be held beginning at 11 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 in chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Born September 25, 1943 in Andalusia, AL, Mr. Bass was the son of the late Jesse Reuben Bass and Ethel Jeanette Terry Bass. Together with his wife they owned and operated Velma’s Lawn Care. Mr. Bass enjoyed sports, old western movies and loved to fish. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his son, Scott M. Bass. Survivors include his wife, Velma Elizabeth Bentley Bass; children, Stacey Elaine Daugherty (Randy) of Columbus, Mechelle Muthuveeran of San Antonio, TX and Joy Olvany of Albany; 2 brothers, Larry Kinney of Tampa, FL and Ray Kinney (Florian) of Deer Branch, FL; 2 sisters, Cynthia Suit (Stanley) of Albany and Sheila Harrelson (Marvin) of South Carolina and 6 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
