Karen Ellen (Alday) Simpson

Karen Ellen Alday Simpson, 48, of Leesburg passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 13, 2011 at Northside Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Mothers Home Cemetery in Colquitt with Reverend Jerry Cooper officiating. Karen was born March 14, 1963 in Albany, daughter of Marvin Earl Alday and Mary Ellen Smith Alday. She was co-owner of Coffee Time Romance that was founded in 2004. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother that always had a smile on her face. Karen was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Sylvester. Survivors include her husband of thirty years, David F. Simpson of Leesburg; son, David Earl Simpson of Leesburg; daughter, Kelley Bindewald and husband, Bryan of MN; five sisters, Donna and Steve Wynne of VA, Alisa and James Prosser of Poulan, Stacey and Steve Carr of NC, Pamela and Kevin Phelps of VA and Patricia and Larry Christmas of Albany; grandson, Devin James Bradshaw of Putney; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Earl Alday. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
