Jean Elizabeth Buckhalter

Mrs. Jean Elizabeth Buckhalter, 71, of Albany, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 12, 2020. The family hosted a private celebration of life service honoring her life. She was born December 29, 1948, in Washington D.C., to the late Joseph Thomas Benton and Florence Eunice King Benton. Mrs. Buckhalter was of the Baptist faith and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed cooking and gardening. She will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include her husband, James Carl Buckhalter of Albany; 4 sons, William Joseph Buckhalter of Warner Robins, Robert Michael Buckhalter of Virginia Beach, VA, James Martin Buckhalter of Hattiesburg, MS, and Stephen Edward Buckhalter of Albany; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
