Mr. Earl Charles Patton, Jr., 71, of Leesburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 1, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in the Chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Reverend Bruce Smith with officiate with interment to follow at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Andersonville Cemetery with military honors. Born December 4, 1942 in Sylvester, Mr. Patton was the son of the late Earl Charles Patton and Fannie Jordan Patton. He served his country in the United States Army and retired with over thirty years from Bob White’s Rentals. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and going to the flea market. Mr. Patton was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Leesburg. In addition to his parents, Mr. Patton was preceded in death by two children, Robert Earl Patton and Donna Lynn Patton and brother, Alvin Richard Patton. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Mrs. Frances Blackmon Patton of Leesburg; sisters, Martha Brooks of Tifton and Virginia Hernandez of Fitzgerald; 7 grandchildren, Jeff Davis, Savanna Patton, Kirstie Martin, Brannon Letchworth, Lacey Wiggins, Taylor Patton and Johnathon Luttrell and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Hall and Hall Funeral Home from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday before the funeral.
